Custom crest commission process

I’m so glad you’re here!

I offer two sizes of custom crests, 9×13” and 10×14.”  Please send me a message to begin the process.

Questions I like to ask to get a better vision of what you’d like in the design:

1. Name and age of the recipient

2. What do you want the initial design to be? (monogram crest, emblem, nursery painting, save the date, invitation, etc.)

3. Please give me a general description of your vision for the painting, if possible.

4. Preferred initials or monogram for the recipient, in the order you want the letters to appear.

5. Please describe the style (ie. botanical, whimsical, traditional, nautical, feminine, masculine).

6. What kinds of animals, themes, flowers or plants you’d like to be included.

7. Any other meaningful items to include like a birth month flower or pet?

8. What is the color palette you’d like? I want to make sure it fits in with the decor for optimal aesthetic. Please list some colors or send me a color theme. Otherwise I’m happy to make it up based on your answers.

If there is anything else you’d like included such as a short quote or bible verse, or birthday, just let me know!

I will come back to you with a sketch to approve via email.

Once you approve the sketch, I’ll paint the design on the size specified on ph neutral watercolor paper with India ink and watercolor paint.  You’ll receive an unframed painting that you can mat and frame independently. I will ship your painting in a cardboard tube so it can be gently unrolled and framed.
